This spring, within the frameworks of the international professional event Belarus Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2012/2013, the second edition of «New Names BFW» contest for young designers took its place.

Taking part in the contest doesn't only let the young designers reveal their creativity and show their talents, but also get some practical skills at the clothing company. In addition, the participants are able to show their works at the same venue with the famous fashion couturiers, and also have the opportunity to find potential employers for a long-term cooperation, as the organizers often invite the representatives of the companies, operating exactly in the clothing manufacture.

The final fashion show of the contest New Names BFW took place on April 28 on the catwalk of Belarus Fashion Week in the Palace of Arts (Kozlova St. 3). The audience got the chance to see modern, bold and creative collections made from flax from young and courageous designers. We want to remind once again that the main prize was to create a capsule collection for Orsha Linen Mill (www.linenmill.by) enterprise and later present it on the runway of Belarus Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2013 and at "Istanbul Fashion Week"! 

The following people became the members of the jury:

- CEO-Creative Director of Crystal Nymph Fashion and Beauty Centre – Yanina Hancharova директор;

- famous Belarusian designer Ivan Aiplatov;

- director of Fashion and Style Centre “Imena” Elena Zapekina;

- the head of the contemporary art and avant-garde fashion festival “Mamont” Yury Bud’ko;

- Galina Y. Meshkova, Ph.D. in Art Studies, associate professor at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts;

- deputy director general for commercial affairs of Orsha Linen Mill Valeriy N. Shestakov;

-  director general of Orsha Linen Mill – Vladimir V. Nesterenko.

At the end of the contest fashion shows, the winner of the previous season of «New Names Belarus Fashion Week» Evgeny Ivanchik showed his collection for “Arishka” enterprise. The joint collection received many positive reviews!

The intrigue of the contest was carried on up to the grand party of BFW by Marko at Robinson Club. As decided by the professional jury of the contest the winners of the contest became 2 participants:

- Valentina Neborskaya with a collection of menswear “Jean” (“Жан”);

- Elena Pleskatsch with a collection “Avia”.
