Collection: Flower Power, couture and ready-to-wear

The “Flower power” prêt-a-porter collection was inspired by nature itself. “Plants, just like people, are all different and unique. The same kind of each flower has different shapes - stems, buds and therefore each of them is truly charming. People are all different as well: asymmetric, lean or stout… Everyone is beautiful in his or her own unique way…  Uniqueness is what makes us perfect” - says Julia. The starting point of the collection is a poppy flower, with its bright red bud petals and grey-blue container of seeds. Big red petals resemble bufferfly wings so much that Julia recreated them in the form of loosely falling folds. The oval shape of the fruit and its grayish shade are reproduced in the texture of cotton and velvet in the collection.

The “Flower power” couture collection by Julia Janus is a composition of 14 wonderful red flowers, i.e. 14 absolutely gorgeous dresses. The 14 flowers appeared in Julia’s mind when she was offered to create a collection of dresses for the “Miss Lithuania” beauty pageant. Hence the name of the collection. Each dress is a unique flower. Using folds and layers of luxurious silk, the designer recreated the shape and beauty of buds in blossom. A woman wearing such a dress looks like a tripped flower. By the way, there is no “queen” flower-dress in the collection. They are all number one.
